Alana Lynn Richardson

RICHARDSON, Alana Lynn age 17 of Urbana left this world too soon on Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was born on December 21, 2005 in Marysville, Ohio the daughter of Anthony Richardson and Roxanne Gillenwater. In addition to her parents, Alana leaves behind her daughter, Brielle Richardson; siblings: Tessa Richardson, Benjamin Nichols, Steven Baer, and Adelyne Buckney and MawMaw, Patty Wells all of Urbana; uncles: Kyle Gillenwater of New Carlisle and Jimmy (Kayla) Gillenwater of Lexington, TN; her aunt, Chelsea (Tiffany) Gillenwater of Lexington, TN; PawPaw, Ralph Gillenwater of Lexington, TN; boyfriend, Billy Winkle as well as her cat children: Callie, Tiny, Buddy, and Midnight. Alana will forever be cherished by her extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Mary Wells and her mother's best friend who was more like family, Elizabeth Asterino. In her short life of only 17 years, she impacted those around her, and personally went through so much but always came out on top. A beautiful, smart, strong willed, stubborn young lady who was taken from us too soon. Alana was a loving cat mom that proudly announced to them that they would be getting a baby sister, Brielle. She also loved Stitch and unicorns. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home. Her funeral will follow on Thursday, January 19, 2023 beginning at 12:00 noon with Pastor Dan Leiker officiating. Alana will be laid to rest at Oak Dale Cemetery.
