Alma H. Galloway

Alma Harmon Best Galloway, age 88, went to be with her Lord on September 16, 2016.
She was born in Corunna, Michigan on September 18, 1927 to Jesse and Ethel (Luchenbill) Harmon. Alma attended New Life Christian Church and was a member of the Friendship Quilt Club. She was an excellent seamstress and made beautiful hand-quilted quilts for family and friends. She enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, basketry and identifying birds.

She was blessed with four children, Susan (Richard) Bell, James Best, Marcia (Wayne) Taylor, and Stuart (Joyce) Best, as well as 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ethel Harmon, her siblings, Robert Harmon, Roland Harmon, Eleanor Harmon, and Carl Harmon and her husband's, Paul B. Best, Jr. And Fred Galloway.

Visitation will be held in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where a service will immediately follow, beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Taylor officiating. Burial to be held at the convenience of the family at Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesville, NC.
