Barbara Ann Stotler

Barbara Ann Stotler, 81, of Urbana went to be with the Lord on Thursday December 3rd. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren as she left this earth and made her journey to heaven. For the last 2 years she was a resident of Vancrest Nursing Home and we will be forever grateful for the love and care they provided her.
She was born February 27th, 1939 in Mechanicsburg, the daughter of the late Albert and Ethel Merriman. Barbara was a 1958 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She retired from Grimes (Honeywell) after many years of service. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She bowled at South West Lanes for many years and enjoyed playing cards with the family. She also enjoyed long Motorcycle rides with her late husband Gerald Lendall Stotler, visiting Nashville and hanging with the various country artists. Her family loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Bruce) Holycross, Karen Stotler, Mike (Diana) Jett, Terri (Craig) Straley, Lisa (Kevin) Kitchen, Randy (Tammy) Jett, Darrell (Sharon) Stotler, and Kevin Fritz. And one sister Karen (Kenny) Quick. As well as, several Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 30 years Gerald Stotler, her sister Janet Conley and bothers; Al, Fred, Bob, & Jack Merriman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4p.m. on Sunday, December 6th at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home in Urbana. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 7th at 11a.m. also in the funeral home with Kevin Kitchen and Mike Jett officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Dale Cemetery.
