Charles R. Marple

MARPLE, Charles R. age 73 of South Charleston passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 23, 1947, the son of John and Bessie M. (Cooper) Muir. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his brother, Harold "Sonny" Marple. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 44 years, Beverly (Blue) Marple; children: Jody Marple, Charles E. (Paula) Marple, Scott (Jamie) Marple, Derrick (Stephanie) Marple, Suzanne Penwell, and Melissa Marple; his sister, Bessie I. (Gary) McGarvey; grandchildren: Brittany, Katie, Damon, Allie, Hannah, Zach, Joey, Jonathan, Chase, and Karleigh; great-grandchildren: Kyla and Adalynn as well as his beloved great dane, Buddy. Charles was a man of many talents, he was a mechanic, truck driver, and worked at Lowe's. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, fishing and collecting watches and coins. He was deeply devoted to his family and will be sadly missed by them.
