Cynthia Rice Williams

WILLIAMS, Cynthia Rice age 66 of Urbana, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 22, 2018. She was born on December 30, 1951 to the late Philip and Joan (Campfield) Rice in Urbana, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Cynthia is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 25 years, Steven "Mark" Williams. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother, Brad Rice; nieces, Tara McQuade and Lindsay Rice; great-nephews: Tyler, Trevor and Joey; great-niece, Bella as well as many good friends and her church family. Cynthia graduated from Urbana High School and recieved her Bachelor's Degree from Urbana University. She was employed by Champaign Bank for many years and retired from Champaign County Health Department. Cynthia was a devoted member of First Christian Church in Urbana where she was active with "Helping Hands," a local outreach serving the community in various capabilities. The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to the Cardio-Vascular Intensive Care Unit at Springfield Regional Medical Center for all of their dedicated care to Cynthia. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME with Reverend Mike Stewart officiating. Visitation from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial to follow at Oakdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to go to First Christian Church, 113 Orange St., Urbana, Ohio 43078.
