Deborah Lynn Saunders

Deborah Lynn Saunders, age 68, of Urbana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2020 in her home. She was born on February 8, 1952, in Hamlin, West Virginia. Deborah is preceded in death by her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Wheeler and two brothers-in-law, Joe Walker and Steve Salyers. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard Saunders whom she married on November 22, 1970; 5 children, Mary Parris, Lori (Jamie) Ferryman, Karen Garrison, Richard (Alison) Saunders Jr. and Brandi Taylor; sisters, Hilda Walker and Carol Salyers; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces nephews and friends. Deborah worked for several years at Heartland Nursing Home as an aide, was an avid doll collector and NASCAR fanatic. Everyone who met Deborah loved her and she was truly an angel in disguise. Her caring heart and giving soul will be deeply missed by the many lives she touched. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 10a.m. at Union Cemetery with Rev.
