Elizabeth Juanita Bair

April 12, 1929 — January 18, 2016

Elizabeth Juanita (Archer) Bair, 86, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 after suffering from Alzheimers. Elizabeth was born April 12, 1929 in Urbana, OH, the daughter of George and Ruth (Huston) Archer. On August 29, 1945 she married Jason R. Bair Jr. and together they built a home on Bair Road and they raised nine children. Elizabeth was a beautiful seamstress and a talented crafter and she enjoyed singing. She and Jason seldom missed a sporting event supporting their children and grandchildren. At fair time, everyone knew where to find the Bair Family Bus. Surviving Elizabeth are her children, Shirley Dallas of Talbott, TN, Ronald (Debi) Bair of Cable, Patricia (Wade) Current of Conover, DeAnne (Tim) Armstrong of Urbana and KimAnnette Bair-Barnes (Jimmy Riley) of Bellefontaine; sons-in-law, Mike Funderburgh of North Lewisburg, David Current of St. Paris and Jon Cain of Springfield; 26 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jason Bair Jr.; daughters, Sandy Funderburg, Cindi Current and Janet Cain; sons, Donald Bair and Jason R. Bair III and his wife, Vickie Bair; grandchildren, Mandy Lynn Kizer and Ty Bair; great-grandson, Avery Dixon; and brothers, Paul and Sherman Archer. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Elizabeth to the Cancer Association of Champaign County, P.O. 38125, Urbana, OH 43078 or the Alzheimers Association, Miami Valley Chapter, 31 W.
