Glenna A. Stickley

February 19, 1931 — December 19, 2020

STICKLEY, Glenna A. (Pencil) 1931-2020 - Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother age 89, of Urbana, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Vancrest of Urbana where she'd been a resident for 5 years.  She was born on February 19, 1931 in Clark County, Ohio; the daughter of William and Fannie (Free) Pencil.  She grew up in the North Hampton area attending the Northwestern Schools until she was 14 when her family moved to Champaign County. She married her High School sweetheart, Harold Stickley Jr. on June 1, 1949. They had three children: Steve (Paula) Stickley, Gail (Jeff) Cain and Diana Cox. She was a loving grandmother to Shaun (Dana) Stickley, Craig Stickley, Wally (Jessica) Cain, Travis (Lacey) Cox, Robert (Laura) Cain and Amber (Roy) Ulrich; nine great-grandchildren: Harper and Sawyer Stickley, CJ and Ethan Cain, Connor and Colton Cox, and Caleb, Hailey and Hannah Ulrich.  She is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Betty Jane Lutz and Dolly Pond as well as several nieces and nephews. Glenna was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church, Westville, Ohio.  She was a 4-H advisor, an amazing cook and a very attentive grandma.  She loved going to her children and grandchildren's 4-H and sporting events.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Edwin Pencil, sisters, Helen Smith and Joann Baker and great-grandson, Jamie Cain.  The family would like to thank Vancrest for the loving care they gave to Glenna.  Private family services will be held due to Covid social distancing requirements.  The family invites extended family and friends to watch Glenna's funeral on Walter & Lewis Funeral Home Facebook page on Saturday, December 26, 2020 beginning at 12:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions be made to the Champaign County 4-H Foundation in Glenna's honor.  Expressions of sympathy may be left for the family by visiting www.walterfunerals.com
