John L. Chadwell

John L. Chadwell, age 85 of Terre Haute, passed away on January 8, 2022 at the Springfield Regional Medical Center.

John was born June 17, 1936 in Whitley County, Kentucky to the late James R. and Rebecca (Woods) Chadwell. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Emary of Jellico, Tennessee. John is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty, his son, David L. Chadwell of St. Paris, Ohio, granddaughter, Jessica L. Chadwell of Athens, Ohio, several nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law, and his cat, Blossom.

John retired from SPECO Corp. of Springfield, Ohio. He attended Newson Missionary Church, St. Paris, Ohio. John loved to bowl. He will be laid to rest in the Terre Haute Cemetery on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Dick McIntosh. Arrangements in the care of Walter and Lewis Funeral Home.
