Larry Douglas Swank

Larry Douglas Swank, 63, of Piqua, died on Monday, August 26, 2013 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born on September 20, 1949 in Urbana, OH, the son of Harry Elsworth and Nellie (Piper) Swank. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Larry enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing. Survivors include a son, Harry Swank of Piqua; 3 grandchildren, Chasity Swank of Houston, OH, James Buddy Swank of Piqua and Heather Swank of Piqua; 3 great-grandchildren, Alixzander Mueller of Houston, Zayden Brandyberry of Houston and Averee Cavanaugh of Piqua; sisters, Carol Oberly and Betty Ratliff, both of Urbana; brothers, Roger (Crystal Ann) of Urbana and Ronnie (Verna) of Woodstock. He was preceded in death by his significant other, Melody Ferryman, his parents, and his brother, Richard Dick Swank. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana.
