Lawrence "Larry" Eckurd

Lawrence Larry Eckurd Jr., 78, of Urbana, passed peacefully surrounded by family at 11:45 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in his home. He was born on May 24, 1936 in Urbana, OH, the son of Lawrence and Grace (Greer) Eckurd Sr. He was a graduate of Urbana Local High School. Larry and Martha owned and operated the family farm for many years and also owned L&M Trucking. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Martha (Pitzer) Eckurd; daughters, Teresa Flohre and husband Mark of St. Paris and Melissa Brockman and husband Steve of Juneau, AK; and grandchildren, Nick Latham, Natalie Latham, Luke Brockman, Hannah Brockman and Shelly Olson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harlan and Everett. Memorial contributions in Larrys memory may be made to Community Mercy Hospice, 444 W. Harding Road, Springfield, OH 45504.
