Lex A. Andrews Sr.

ANDREWS, Lex A. Sr. age 73 of Urbana went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021. He was born on September 28, 1947 in Troy, Ohio to the late Lucille Andrews. In addition to his mother, Lex is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Sims; great-grandchild, Chase Gainer and his uncle Charles Parker. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 53 years, Joyce Andrews; son, Lex Andrews Jr.; daughters: Jodi Andrews, Kathy Stevens, and Kendra Andrews; brothers, Ben (Rhonda) Andrews and Stephen Andrews. He is also survived by Daniel Scott V, Nahanni Scott, Jayda Scott, Elijah Andrews, Dejah Andrews, Destiny Andrews, Lyric Andrews, Nadia Andrews, Lex Andrews, and Brayden Andrews as well as great-grandchildren: Zaiden Coleman, Zalaya Coleman, Daniel Scott VI, Christian Scott, Nyra Jones, Qahaari Andrews and Norieli Andrews. Lex was a dedicated employee at Honeywell Grimes Manufacturing and retired after many years. He was a diehard Cleveland Browns football fan and enjoyed fishing and taking cruises. He had a deep faith in Jesus and loved attending church at Transformed Life Church. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and a celebration of his life will follow on Saturday, January 23, 2020 at Transformed Life Church beginning at 1:00 p.m. Flowers are welcome or you may make a memorial contribution to his church, Transformed Life Church.
