Linda Joyce Lewis

Linda Joyce (McCain) Jones, Lewis, age 68, of New Vienna, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2016 in her home. She was born on August 22, 1947 to the late Delmer F. and Margaret L. (Ropp) McCain in Urbana, Ohio, where she later graduated from Urbana High School. On August 13, 1988, she married former USMC Corporal Gary G. Lewis. Linda was an animal lover who enjoyed bowling and working as a seamstress, and she, and her husband, raised flowers for Boyer Farms Greenhouse in Pickerington at one time. Linda was very jovial; always smiling, and was very giving and caring. More than anything, she loved her nieces, nephews and especially her grandkids. Along with her husband, Gary, Linda is survived by a son, John J. (Mary E.) Jones; one daughter, Tamara Tami Jones; step-son, Gary (Carole) Lewis II; step-daughters, Amy (David) Beard, Kristy (Kevin) Michael, Kelly (Lonnie) Mills; step-grandchildren, Daisy, Lonnie Jr. and Johnny Mills; grandchildren, Shayna and Taylor Blankenship, Jordan (Abbey) Lowe, Danny and Lewis Cutlip, and Zachery Davis; great-grandchildren, Audri Lowe, Donovan, Brooklyn, Carson, and Ava Cutlip, and Jayden Davis; sisters, Shirley (Danny) Dunlavy, Kathy (Marion) Gregg, Wilda (Robert) Leamman, and Ruby Bryan; brothers, Art (Joan) McCain, Jim (Esther) McCain, Richard (Nora) McCain, Philip McCain, and Tracy L. McCain. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer and Ethel Ropp, as well as William and Clara McCain. Friends may gather from 5 p.m. 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME (642 S. Main St. Urbana, OH 43078). A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2016 also in the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Grandview Cemetery. Pallbearers include Lewis and Danny Cutlip, Zachery Davis, Jason and Bradley Leamman, Michael Gregg, Justin McCain, and Tracy L.
