Lisa M. Courter

Lisa M. Courter, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 following a car accident. She was born on May 6, 1965, in Urbana, the daughter of Phyllis Kay and George L. Courter. She is survived by her mother Phyllis (Dave) Courter Kimbler of Urbana; her partner, Bruce Barney of Urbana; children, Brandon (Brooke) Hooten of Urbana, Shaun Hooten (Ashley Smith) of St. Mary’s and Ozlin Hooten of Urbana; sister, Heidi Courter of Urbana; brother, Anthony (Michelle) Courter of Linden, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Silas and Xander Hooten, Tristan, Michael and Allie Hooten, Pierson, Khloe, Trenton, Mason and Aiislynn Hooten, Sutton Atha and Fenix Packer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, George L. Courter; sister, Teresa K. Temple; son, Ross A.N. Hooten and grandson, Zayne Hooten. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 4:30-6:30p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help her family with expenses.
