Lovada "Sue" Miller

Lovada “Sue” Miller, age 65, of Urbana, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was born on December 11, 1957 in Urbana, the daughter of the late Oscar and Delilah (Holbrook) Blosser.

Sue married the love of her life, Estil A. Miller on October 15, 1977 and he preceded her in death on November 14, 2016. In addition to her husband, she is also preceded by her grandson, Elijah David and her siblings, Earl Blosser, Julia (Ron) Carrol and Lucy Ann Blosser.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Julie Miller-Artis and Elizabeth Miller (Doug St. Amand); grandchildren, Lee, Deeter and Declan; siblings, Linda Blosser, Steve (Suzy May) Blosser, David (Chris) Blosser, Elsie (Jay) Hand and Stella (Jim) Whightsel; sister-in-law, Patti Blosser; niece whom she considered a daughter, Carey (Jason) Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Sue worked for many years at CTS in Urbana. She was a loving and caring person who was always taking care of everyone else and putting others before herself. She loved to travel the U.S. with her husband and family to see different lighthouses and ride beautiful carousels, and when staying closer to home, she enjoyed boating down the Ohio River and watching NASCAR with her family and friends. Just as a lighthouse provides light and safety to traveling vessels, Sue was the lighthouse of her family, providing comfort, peace and safe harbor to all of those she loved.

Her viewing will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 12-2p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home with service beginning at 2p.m. Rev. Betsy Kauffman will be officiating. In honor of Sue’s bright personality, she herself requested everyone to come to the funeral wearing her favorite color purple, or in bright and cheerful colored clothes.
