December 4, 1936 — March 4, 2022

Marilyn Elizabeth Kinnison went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 86 years old.
Marilyn was born to Albert and Mary Elizabeth Furman on December 4, 1936 in Little Falls, New York. She attended Oswego High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating from college, Marilyn moved to Urbana, Ohio where she pursued a career in teaching. During that time she earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. Marilyn met her husband, Melvin (Mel) in Urbana, Ohio where they were married and raised 4 children, Stephanie, Scott, Stuart, and Stacy. Marilyn was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost; and, spent many of her hours dedicating her life to Him. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ, with as many people as possible. She was a member of The Champaign County Follies Singers and will be remembered for her stand-up comedy act “Allison”. Her hobbies included singing, tap dancing and painting. Marilyn was a devoted member of The First Baptist Church in Urbana where she served as a Deaconess, sang in the choir, directed fellowship music, and directed several children’s musicals.
Now that Marilyn has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Marilyn’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her. Marilyn joins her husband, Mel Kinnison, sons Scott Kinnison and Stuart Kinnison, Great Granddaughter Abigail Kinnison, her parents Albert and Mary Elizabeth Furman, three brothers: Courtney Furman, Paul Furman, and David Furman, and a sister: Rose Marie Hess in Heaven.
