Mary Lou Rice

Mary L. Rice, 88, of Urbana, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 in her residence. She was born August 26, 1926, in Clermont County, OH, a daughter of Earl H. and Ella Mary (Fugett) Reed. Mary retired as an assembler from Siemens. Survivors include grandchildren, Joe (Peggy) Rice of Urbana, Jeff (Susie) Rice of Urbana, Frances (Jack) Haag of Anchorage, AK, John (Shelbe) Rice of Urbana, Jason Rice of Columbus, Jacob Rice of Columbus, Noah Rice of Chapman, KS, and Craig and Katie Rice of Urbana ; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Violet Maxwell of Urbana and Betty Jane Cox of Urbana; special daughter-in-law, Miyoko Rice of Hinesville, GA; and special friends, Carol Lee Herndon of Urbana and Peggy and Harvey Watkins of St. Marys. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Rice, Jr. on December 27, 2006; sons, Gary Rice and John Rice; brother, Kenneth Reed; and sister, Jewel Smith.
