Nancy Lee Hill

HILL, Nancy Lee VanHoose, age 70 of Urbana passed away peacefully on Friday, January 15, 2020 at Ohio State Medical Center.  She was born on September 10, 1950 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Arby and Betty E. (McCluskey) VanHoose.  In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Hill and brother, Robert Garfield VanHoose. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Rose Ellen (Don) Forsythe; niece, Julie Henningan; nephews: Casey (Erin) Hennigan, Tyler (Caitlyn) Hennigan, Matt Hennigan, Andy (Michelle) Hennigan, and Collin Hennigan. She is also survived by her children: Katie (John) Williams, Engelbert (Polly) Hill, Eberhard (Heidi) Hill, Edmund (life partner, Chris) Hill-Thacker, and Gabriel Hill (great-grandson/son); grandchildren: Kristy (fiance, Cesar) Hill-Perez, Jacob (Lacey) Hill, Christopher (Amanda) Hill, Tyler (Olivia) Hill, Daniel Hill, Jacqueline (Aaron) Carpenter, Jennifer Williams-Patterson, and Joshua Williams as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Nancy graduated from Urbana High School and retired after 30+ years from Grimes Manufacturing Midland Ross as Lead Lady. Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by those who knew her. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home. Due to Covid-19 the family will be having a private funeral service but will be doing a celebration of life service when restrictions are lifted. Burial at Oak Dale Cemetery.
