Pauline F. Smith of Urbana, died at 9:15 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2014 in Heartland of Urbana. She was born March 9, 1916 in Mt. Vernon, OH, a daughter of Roy and Ida B. (Sapp) Shaw. Pauline a 1934 graduate of St. Mary High School in Urbana and a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church retired from G. C. Murphy after 23 years of service. She enjoyed, fishing, bowling, making pictures with seashells and knitting. Survivors include her sons, Thomas E. (Cheryl) Smith of Plano, TX, Daniel L. (Pat) Smith of Huntsville, OH; grandchildren Thomas Eugene Smith and family, Tammy Jo Stallings and family, Paula Marie Wolfe and family, Gloria D. Carter and family, Tammy Lynn Smith and family, Jenny Whitt and family, Daniel Lee Smith II and family; sister Leona Hild of Urbana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband Chester Raymond, 2nd husband, Gerald Smith; brothers, Charles, Owen, Kenneth, Leon and Gene Shaw; sisters, Betty Jones, Eleanor Landers; great-granddaughter Jerri Marie Hart; and 2 infant sisters. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 5, 2014 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 231 Washington Ave., Urbana, OH with Father Larry Gearhart, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Danny, Corey, Aaron, Troy, Matt, Nathan, Chris, and Levi. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Mary Catholic Church, 231 Washington Ave., Urbana, OH 43078.
