Robert Alfred Knox

KNOX, Pastor Robert Alfred “Bob” age 57 of Urbana. Fought a good fight, ran his race and went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 1, 2022. He is now walking on the streets of Heaven. Bob was born on July 22, 1964 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Gary Chester and Linda Knox. In addition to his father, Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years, Jewell “Kitty” Knox; sons: Paul E. (Melissa) Lawrence, James M. (Janine) Lawrence, Aaron J. (Tawnya) Lawrence; daughter, Lisa (Derick) Skelton Davis; his father, Gary (Eileen Davis) Knox; brothers: Ace Knox, Gary “Charlie” (Theresa) Knox, and Rodney (Victor) Knox; sister, Jo (Patrick) Harsh, granddaughter Madalynn (fiancé, Luke Routsong) Skelton; grandchildren: Josh Layne, Caitlin Layne, Bella Lawrence, Ava Grace Lawrence, Cory Lawrence, Spencer Althouse, Alex Althouse, Ronald “Ronnie” Skelton, Chandler Lawrence, Mason Lawrence, Aiden Lawrence, Mackenzie Bishop, Olivia Hess, Thaddeous Lawrence, Amber Lawrence, Cristin Hensley; sisters-in-law, Dr. Cynthia Pickens and Janice Joy (John) Lytle; brothers-in-law, Charles “Chuck” (Jane) Pickens and Keith L. (Jaclyn) Pickens; many uncles, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. He also is survived by his friend and former boss, Jeff (Melanie) Thurman and friend Pastor Donald Adams. Bob lived his life by the word of God and loved being the Pastor of New Beginning Fellowship. He had a passion for rebuilding cars, especially his 1974 El Camino and playing his guitar. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at New Beginning Fellowship from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. His life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 7, 2022 also at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Donald Adams officiating. Bob will be laid to rest at Kings Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox family to offset expenses.
