Ruth A. Branson

Ruth A. Branson, 75, of Urbana, died at 6:56 A.M. Saturday, March 1, 2014 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 14, 1939 in Cable, OH, the daughter of Willis and Edna (Riley) Brown. Ruth attended the Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include daughter, Gloria Malone and her husband Jim of Springfield, son Brian Branson and Shelley Kraft of Piqua; grandchildren Justin, Joshua, Francisca, Betsy, Ridge and Brouke; great grandchildren, Connor and Aryana; sister Betty and nieces, nephew, cousins and a special thanks to her devoted friend Dessie Webber of Urbana. Preceded in death by parents, husband Charles A. Branson on November 25, 2007, children Dennis, Ricky, Michael and Crystal; sisters, Doris, Francis and Carolyn. Family will receive friends from noon -2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 6, 2014 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, where a service will be held at 2:00 P.M with Pastor Beverly Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual, OH. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland of Urbana, and the doctors, nurses and staff of the Springfield Regional Medical Center 2nd floor ICU for their loving care they provided to Ruth.
