Wanda Mckeever

Wanda McKeever of Crystal River, FL, passed away on January 7, 2013 of cancer. She was born in Urbana on January 1, 1939, the daughter of Fred and Juanita Rickard Chrisman. Wanda graduated from Urbana High School in 1956 where she was a cheerleader and majorette. She worked at Butler Drug Store during high school. She was also employed at Market Maid and Buckles Motors and then moved to Florida in the mid-1970s where she lived the remainder of her life. She volunteered for many years at Daystar Life Center where she greatly enjoyed working and also served as a board member. She was selected as Volunteer of the Year in 2011. Survivors include sisters, Mary Ann Metherd of Urbana and Jean Runkle of Urbana, brother, Larry (Beverly) Chrisman of Urbana, and many, nieces, nephews and cousins. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, son, Brooks, sister, Louise Massie, brothers, Fred Jr. and Ronald Chrisman, brother-in-law, Warren Runkle, and longtime mate Dick Instine. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, with Pastor Jim Lillibridge officiating.
