Warren Mattox

Warren Mattox, 82, of Urbana, passed peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born September 13, 1931 in Urbana, OH, the son of the late Herbert and Ruth (Anderson) Mattox. He was an avid farmer for a lifetime. He loved the outdoors, his garden and sharing his harvest with family and friends. A favorite pastime he had was spending all the time he could with his great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Pauline (Reaver) Mattox; a sister, Alice (Harold) Boysel and their children David and Douglas Boysel; his children, Karen (John) Woodruff, Steven (LuAnn) Mattox; sisters-in-law, Marion Reaver and Evelyn Reaver; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Craig, Tina (LJ) Gemienhardt, Jeffrey Baugh; his great-grandchildren, Matt, Morgan and Mason Baugh, Jason Jr. and Jacob Craig, and Ashley and Joel Gemienhardt. He leaves behind a cousin, Daniel Mattox, and good friends, Dean and Carol Hazlett from Wyoming. Also, he leaves behind Vern and Jane Wolfe, Larry and Gaye Slates, Julie Jones and Walter Hiltibran. Upon Warrens request, there will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Grandview Cemetery, Urbana with Pastor Keith Little officiating.
