Warren W. Cress Iii

CRESS, Warren W. III age 77 of Urbana went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 9, 2021. He was born on January 7, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio the son of Warren W. Cress II and Cloa (Boldman) Cress. In addition to his parents, Warren is preceded in death by his first wife, Christine M. Cress. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 20 years, Nancy (Clyburn) Cress; sisters: Darlene Brannon and Cathy (Jay) Barnes; step-children: Stephanie (Jason) Snyder and Jason Vulgamore; granddaughters: Trisha (Josh) Helton and Tara (Matthew) Perry; nieces, Stephanie (Chris) York, Tiffany (Chris) Sebastian, and Amy Baugher; nephews, Adam (Amanda) Brannon and Seth Baugher; brother-in-law, Nick Clyburn; sister-in-law, Melanie Clyburn as well as his dear friend, Ronald Ray. Warren served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps. He was a 50 year member at Grace Baptist Church and retired from Navistar after 40 dedicated years. Warren was a supporter of the NRA and Jewish Fellowship. He will be sadly missed by all that he knew. A visitation will be held at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 12:00-12:45 p.m. and a graveside service at Oakdale Cemetery will begin at 1:00 p.m. with military honors.
