Anthony Lynn Sachs

Anthony Lynn Sachs, age 86, of Urbana passed peacefully on February 21, 2026. He was born March 27, 1939, in Urbana, Ohio, a son of Louise (Murphy) and Herb Sachs. Anthony graduated from Urbana High School in 1957. He worked for many years at Grimes Manufacturing in Urbana. He enjoyed spending time at Grimes Field Airport with other pilots. He spent more than 50 years living in California where he worked as a car salesman and also earned his pilots license. Anthony enjoyed flying, taking tourists on flights around Orange County, California. He loved the view of the ocean and the boats from the cockpit. Other interests include sailboating, fishing, and shooting guns. He had a great fondness of cats and dogs. He also enjoyed having coffee with friends and spending time with his family. He is survived by his brother Mark (Michelle Maynard) Sachs, his children Diana Sachs, Jeffrey Sachs, and Kimberly (Bill) Rittenhouse; grandchildren Amber (Rigo) Valle, Emily Rittenhouse, Sarah Rittenhouse, Nicholas Rittenhouse, Tyler Sachs, and Colton Sachs; great grandchildren Tanner Brann, Logan Masters, Lauren Masters, Lilah Masters, AJ Rittenhouse, Sophia Valle, Logan Sachs, and Johnathan Sachs. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Herb Sachs, brother Gary Sachs, sister Barbara Sachs, and a son Christopher Sachs.
