Benjamin Allen Kirkmeyer

Benjamin Allen Kirkmeyer, age 43 of Urbana, Ohio passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 30, 2026. He was born August 24, 1982 in Cleburne, Texas, the son of Donald W. and Sara B. (Ervin) Higdon. Ben is survived by his parents, son, Vincent Kirkmeyer, siblings, Levi and DJ Higdon, maternal grandmothers, Sherry Ervin, paternal grandfather, Don Higdon, and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Ervin, paternal grandmother, Anna M. Higdon, maternal grandmother, Eloise McBride and aunt, Kim Bell.

Ben selflessly served our nation in the United States Army for 4 years. A combat veteran, he found peace in being an avid reader, gamer, and enjoying the outdoors. After years of working at various employers, Ben found his place at Pure Ohio Wellness where he has spent the last 5 years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the company and staff for their love and support during this difficult time.
