Carolyn Sue Dunn

Carolyn Sue (Ogg) Dunn, 81, passed away May 29, 2026 at the Urbana Health and Rehab Center surrounded by family.

Carolyn was born on March 27, 1945, the daughter of the late Frank Richard Ogg Sr. and Opal (Shonkwiler/Ogg) Smith. She graduated from Urbana High School in 1963. In 1966, she married the love of her life, Ernest "Bussie" Dunn who preceded her in death in 2000. Carolyn retired from Vancrest Nursing Home as a Dietician Manager/Cook in 2020.

Carolyn is survived by her loving son, Erik (Wendy) Dunn, granddaughters, Hayley and Jennifer Filipovic, brother, Greg (Donna) Ogg of Great Falls, Montana; sister, Karen (Ogg) Bazzle of Lebanon, Pennsylvania; nephew, Joe (Ericka) Hanger and family of Lebanon, Pennsylvania; nieces, Jennifer (RJ) Inzeo of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Terri Ogg of Houston, Texas; nephews, Darrell (Tamra) Ogg and family of Great Falls, Montana, Marc (Tristina) Ogg and family of Colorado, and Jay Ogg and family of Oregon. She is also survived by a special child that was like a grandson to her, Colt Filipovic of Urbana, as well as many cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Frank (Dick) Richard Ogg Jr. and his wife, Loretta; and parental and maternal grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

A special and heartfelt thank you goes to the nursing staff at Urbana Health and Rehab for the years of taking care of her. A special thanks also goes to Care360 Hospice for taking care of her in the last few days, the family is forever grateful. 

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Brian Wonn. Burial to follow at Oak Dale Cemetery.
