Deanna Kathleen Flynn, known as “Ma” by her grandchildren, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 14, 2025. Deannie/Dee was born April 16, 1943, in Urbana, Ohio a daughter of Connie and Mary Ellen (Stevenson) Adams. Deanna married Franklin “Frank” G. Flynn, (Pa) on December 14, 1961. She graduated in 1961 from Salem High school in Kingscreek: Ohio, and also from Sinclair Community College.

Deanna was a Jehovah’s Witness and a firm believer. She attended The Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Urbana, Ohio. She worked in healthcare most of her life as an aid caring for many people. She worked at the Champaign County nursing home, CRSI and Green Hills Senior Life Community. Deannie enjoyed going to flea markets with her husband Frank and her sister and best friend Barb, or as she called her “Monk”. Those two were like two peas in a pod and were always making each other laugh. Deanna enjoyed talking with her favorite cousin Doug Fuqua, anytime she got to visit with him made her so happy. She also enjoyed her phone calls with longtime friend Linda Carroll catching up on everything in life. Ma and Pa loved tending to their garden and being outside watching the birds. They both had green thumbs and grew the most beautiful gardens. Ma loved painting, she was such a talented artist.

Ma loved to cook and made the best food. Some favorites of hers were homemade noodles, potato salad and biscuits with sausage gravy. Ma was the most warm, loving selfless person, she always saw the good in everyone. Ma gave the best hugs, butterfly kisses and always had to give you a bus (kiss). She loved spending time with her grandbabies; they were the light of her life. Deanna was such a bright light in this world, losing her is one of the hardest and biggest losses we could endure. The one thing that brings us peace is knowing that she has made it to Paradise and is reunited with Pa and other loved ones. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Connie & Mary Ellen Adams, her husband of 55 years, Franklin “Frank” G. Flynn; nieces, Amy Fyffe, Danielle Flynn and nephew, Michael Flynn. She is survived by her children, Timothy Flynn, Karen (Thomas) Halterman, Glenn (Rebecca) Flynn and Caleb (Carlyn) Flynn (Caleb she was so proud of you); grandchildren, Ryan Flynn, Brittany Halterman, Katie Halterman, Rachel (Cody) Snow, Bethany (Brian) Crabtree, Cassie Miller, Mariah Flynn, Alexa Flynn, Cade Flynn, Logan Flynn, Britton Russell, Addyson Stapleton and Riplee Stapleton; great grandchildren, Karter Harris, Braydon Thompson, Tristin Halterman, Aiden Whitaker, Kyser Snow (her little man), Brantley Crabtree, Oakley Crabtree, Jaxson Crabtree, Maisley Crabtree, Brycen Bolling, Kolsen Bolling, Ahryian Turner, Gypsy Turner and Lochlan Turner; sister, Barb Baker; nieces, Julie Daniel, Susie Garrett and many other nieces and nephews.

(Revelation 21:4) “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.

(Luke 23:43) “And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”
