Dorothy Louise Merriman

Dorothy Louise Merriman, age 97, of Urbana, Ohio passed away, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born, January 17, 1929, in Urbana, Ohio a daughter of Charles and Esma (Seibert) Middleton.

Dorothy was a member of Urbana Church of Christ In Christian Union. She worked at Grimes Manufacturing Company in Urbana for 10 years. She and her husband Albert were owners of Pools and Recreations, Inc., in Logan County for over 30 years, selling snowmobiles and swimming pools. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, crocheting and solving word search puzzles.

She is survived by her daughters, Candy (Jim) Wissinger, Sherry (Dave) Piatt and Stacey (Robert) Johnston and numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Albert “Al” Merriman; a son, Mark D. Merriman and her parents, Esma and Charles Middleton.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Cable, OH. Following the burial family and friends are invited to the Urbana Church of Christ In Christian Union, 1115 N. Main Street, Urbana, OH for a luncheon.
