Elizabeth Ann (Best) Delaney, age 94 of Urbana, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2026. She was born October 31, 1931 in Champaign County, Ohio to the late Ralph and Ruth (Williams) Best. Elizabeth is survived by her children; Patti Fink, Beverly (John) Titus, Brenda Johnson, and Nancy Delaney, grandchildren; Jerry (Shellie) Delaney, Nicole (Summer) Routt, Karen Stotler, Shanoa Titus-Poston, Zac (Lana) Titus, Eli (Amanda) Titus, Ruby Johnson, Brandon (Nina) Williams, Brittany (Shane) Hardwick, and Kyla Marshall, great-grandchildren; Ryan (Ashley) Delaney, Dakota (Katie) Delaney, Bethany (Tyler) Adams, Grayson Delaney, Courtney Wait, Michael Houston, Wesley Houston, Robert Underwood, Ashlie Care, Nataja Underwood, Logan Poston, Alexis Runkle-Titus, Isabella Runkle-Titus, Alyson Runkle-Titus, Teagan Runkle-Titus, Alfred Boss, Rachel Boss, Zane Titus, Rome Titus, Anthony Portis, Xavier Williams, Sarah Williams, Chloe Williams, Stephen Williams, Bryce Jenkins, Connor Jenkins, Orion Scheer, Evelyn Scheer, Leona Shepherd, Pazlee Hardwick, Kamren Hardwick, Kaden Marshall, and Devon Marshall, several great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jimmie Faye Johnson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert E. Delaney, daughter, Debbie (Donnie) Paugh, granddaughter, Alicia Nicole Titus, son-in-law, Bob Fink, and siblings, Miriam Ober, Ada Eleyet, Johnnie Best, and Harold Best.

Elizabeth’s world always revolved around her family—her top priority and the source of her greatest pride and joy. She cherished every moment spent in their company, flourishing in the laughter and stories shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Throughout her life, Elizabeth’s home became a sanctuary of Christmas spirit , baking cookies and candies with her children and grandchildren! The garden she lovingly tended was a reflection of her tender spirit, blooming with vibrant flowers. Among her many passions, Elizabeth delighted in collecting dolls, angels, clown figurines and simple pastimes like playing euchre with friends. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling with her family, going to the Moose Lodge, listening to music and dancing! A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 3:00-6:00 PM at the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. The funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 23 at 11:00 AM., Rev. Betsy Coffman will deliver the eulogy. Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband at Oak Dale Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. A celebration of life will be held at the Moose Lodge following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alicia Titus Memorial Peace Fund or the Cancer Association of Champaign County.
