Esther Mae Pitts

Esther Mae Pitts, 84, of Urbana, passed away July 6, 2025. She was born May 5, 1941, in Rosewood, OH, a daughter of Franklin and Violet (Harsh) Brandyberry.

Ester was a homemaker who loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with them. She also enjoyed doing search and find word puzzles, going to the Shadybowl Speedway, flea markets, garage sales and taking rides in the country.

She is survived by her sons, Robert Brandyberry, Charles Werner, Curtis Werner and James Werner; daughter, Regina Ward; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Murphy and Marsha Hicks and brother, Leslie Brandyberry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Werner; son, Farin Werner; parents, Franklin and Violet Brandyberry; grandchildren, Charles Werner III, Jordan Werner and Micah Carlson; great grandson, Blake Anderson; sisters, Harriet Walton and Janet Brown; brothers, Leeman Brandyberry, Ronald Brandyberry, Herbert Brandyberry and Lewis Brandyberry.

A memorial service honoring the life of Esther Mae Pitts and her son, Farin Werner will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10:00am until 4:00pm at the Rosewood Community Center.
