Floyd Edward Milliron, 79, of Urbana, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.
He was born on January 25, 1939 in Peebles, OH, a son of John Absent and Viola Alice (Tomblin) Milliron. Floyd retired from International Harvester/Navistar after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of Vietnam and served as a Sgt. First Class in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the VFW in Urbana, American Legion, Knights of Pythias, Machinist Club, Union Club and the Troy Fish & Game.
Survivors include his daughters, Margie (Mitchell) Carpenter and Sherry Farmer; grandchildren, RaeLynn Cavins (Cody), Trey Carter (girlfriend Ciji), Shane Carter (Ashley) and Jacquie Farmer; great-grandchildren, Zoey Carter, Zheyne Carter, Lauryn O’Donnell, Serenity Carter, Sasha Carter, Landon O’Donnell, Lydia Carpenter, Peyton Carter, Skyler Ropp, Ava Carpenter, Chloe and Caine Carter and Haisley Cavins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jacqueline Irene (Pence) Milliron; grandson, Lucas Carpenter; son-in-law, Tuter Farmer; three sisters; and one brother.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Burial will follow in Myrtle Tree Cemetery.
