Harley Joe Knox

Harley Joe Knox, 50, of Urbana, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy.
He was born on October 25, 1968 in Urbana, a son of Harley George Knox and Shirley McAlister Knox. He was a musician who played with several bands during his life. He also donated his time raising funds for a multitude of benefits for others in need.
Survivors include his wife, Mandy Knox; daughter, Riley Suzanne Knox; son, Harley “Gibson” Knox; father and stepmother, Harley George and Carol Knox; sister, Cindy (Jim) Cushman; and brothers, Terry Knox and Randy (Sandy) Knox.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley McAlister Knox; aunts, Shirley Copeland and Doris McAlister; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 in the Urbana United Methodist Church, 238 N. Main St., Urbana, where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Red Cross.
