Harry Harrison Goldsberry

GOLDSBERRY, Harry Harrison age 82 of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Urbana, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 4, 2023 at his home by his beloved dogs, Paddi & Bandit.  He was born on August 27, 1941 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Charles Kenneth and Beulah May (Owens) Goldsberry.  In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his former wife, Susan (Meddles) Goldsberry; daughter, Jeana Kearns and siblings: Sandra Doyle, Brenda Gibson, Patty Keeran, and Linda Hawke.  He leaves behind his wife of 18 years Phyllis Goldsberry; children: Scott (Angie) Kearns, Tommy (Angie) Wilson, Harry H. Goldsberry III, Edith Goldsberry, Kevin (Hollie) Neitzel and Jennifer (Matt McPhail) Neitzel; numerous grandchildren including: Matthew Kearns, Eric Zirkle, Adam Zirkle and Jessica Elizabeth; siblings: Naomi Salyer, Sharon Barr, William Goldsberry, James Goldsberry, Raymond Goldsberry, and Susan Meyer as well as former wife, Dora Botkins. Harry was a model train enthusiast and die-hard Indianapolis Colts fan.  He retired from the State of Ohio as a stationary engineer at the Pickaway Correctional Facility.  A visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2023 at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. with a graveside service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Dale Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to the Champaign County Animal Welfare League in honor of Harry.  Condolences are forwarded to the family by visiting www.walterfunerals.com
