Janice June Ziegler

Janice June Ziegler, affectionately known as "Jan," passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, in Beavercreek, Ohio. She was born on May 17, 1950, in Denver, Colorado, the beloved daughter of Sidney Parker and Jane (Blackwood) Parker.

Jan had a vibrant and fulfilling career that spanned various occupations. She was a manager of the Urbana Country Club, served as a floor manager at Millner's Cafeteria, and also had the role of a bank teller at Perpetual Federal Savings Bank. Her professional life reflected her dedication to service and community.

In addition to her professional contributions, Jan was known for her warm personality and her knack for making others feel comfortable. She never met a stranger and loved being the mother hen to everyone around her. Her kindness extended not just to people but to her adored pets, and her passion for flower gardening brought beauty into her life and the lives of others.

Jan is deeply missed by her family. She leaves behind her beloved children: Shawn (Melanie) Ziegler, Rich (Lauren) Ziegler, Carolyn (Kevin) Parker, and Annette (John) Tobin. Jan was a cherished grandmother to her grandchildren: Evan, Charli, Peyton, Jett, Daniel, Josh, Thomas, Courtney, and Kristen. Additionally, she is survived by her sister, Judy Marvel, and her lifelong friend, Sue Spriggs. In addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Calvin Ziegler. 

Family and friends are invited to honor Jan's life and legacy at the North Lewisburg Church, located at 124 Maple St, North Lewisburg, OH 43060. A Memorial Gathering will be held on August 1, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Janice June Ziegler leaves behind a rich tapestry of love, memories, and a community forever touched by her warmth and exuberance for life. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
