John E. Sevenich

John Emil Sevenich, age 82, was reunited in Heaven with his loving wife, Wilma on September 13, 2023. He was born July 8, 1941 in Columbiana, Ohio to the late John William and Anna (Meisner) Sevenich. John is survived by his son, Rodney (Lorri) Sevenich, daughter, Laura (John) Grumbling, grandsons; Lance Sevenich, Josh Grumbling, and Adam Grumbling, and great-granddaughter, Gabriella Grumbling. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wilma Jean and sister, Mary Jo Weingart.

John was a jack of all trades and there weren’t many things that he could not fix. He was a very intelligent man that knew a lot about many things, and if he didn’t know how, he would figure it out. John was very passionate about training and teaching others the skills he had. He worked for AGA Gas as the maintenance manager for many years until his eventual retirement. In his earlier years, he enjoyed restoring old tractors and cars. Later in life, he shifted to enjoying riding his Harley. John enjoyed his friends and the company at the Local VFW Post 5451.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 18, 2023 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. John will be laid to rest at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery in Madill, Oklahoma.
