Joyce Louise Hammond

Joyce Louise (Rogan) Hammond, age 70, of Urbana, OH, went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2016. She was a devoted wife and mother who retired from Honeywell/Grimes in 2007.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted husband, Kenneth C. Hammond Sr.; two sons, Kenneth C. Hammond Jr. and Charles W. Hammond; three daughters, Tyana Johnson, Wanda Hammond and Jocelyn Coombs; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice (Couts) Rogan, and her grandson, Devin Hammond.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Monday, September 19, 2016 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 316 E. Market St., Urbana with Rev. Michael Menefield officiating. Entombment will following in Oak Dale Cemetery Mausoleum, Urbana.
