Larry took some time off law enforcement and began working for Troutwine’s North Grocery Store as a manager from 1970-1980. He later returned to law enforcement with the Champaign County Sheriff’s Department from 1980 until his retirement in 2004. Larry was a compassionate man. He cared more for others than he did for himself. His family was the most important thing to him and he loved them dearly.
