Mary Elizabeth Newland

Mary Elizabeth Newland, 89, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center.
She was born on August 15, 1929 in Springfield, OH, a daughter of Emerson and Naomi (Hubbard) Kitchen. Mary was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Urbana.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Don Newland; daughter, Donata (Rick) Richards; son, Duane Newland; grandchildren, Gordon (Sarah) Richards, Pierce (fiancé Kirsten McKenzie) Newland, and Preston Newland; and step great-grandchild, Nyah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Maxine Augustus and brother Chuck Kitchen.
A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 700 State Route 54, Urbana, with Brother Skip Jackson officiating.
