Mildred Elizabeth Brown

Mildred E. Brown, 76, of Urbana, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023. She was born on November 21, 1946, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ferdinan and Josephine (Madden) Beair. Mildred, or “Sis” as she was lovingly called, married Pete Brown on June 3, 1972 and together they shared over 50 beautiful years. They have 3 wonderful daughters, Karen (Ron) Kauffman, Mary Brown and Dorothy Brown; 6 grandchildren, Zach Prickett, Thomas Brown, Christy Prickett, Courtney Thompson, Brayden Thompson and Sara Thompson; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Mike) Lane and Peggy Parker (Terry Stapleton); brothers, Jerry Beair, Fred (Kathy) Beair, Lawrence Beair and Jack (Karen) Beair; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition, she also leaves behind her special family at Springhills Auto Wrecking. Sis retired from Heartland of Urbana after over 20 years of service. She loved listening to country music and spending time with her family, especially her sister, Peggy and special great-granddaughter, Kinny. Viewing will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 2-4p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, with service on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Mutual Cemetery.
