Oleta Marie Thomas

Oleta Marie Thomas, 54, of Urbana, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
She was born on September 10, 1963 in Urbana, OH, a daughter of Joseph and Phyllis (Taylor) Hagenbuch. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Urbana and an OSU fan, Oleta was a wonderful mom who loved being with her family. She was a warm, caring, loving and remarkable woman who loved helping others and always put her family first.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert Thomas Jr.; children, Matt (Amber) Huffman and Brittany (Jamie) Slone; father of her children, Clint Huffman; grandchildren, Gabrielle, Lydia, Tristan and Zachary; step-grandchildren, Shianne and Jade Slone; her parents; and siblings, Cheryl Erwin, Joanna (Russell) Oppelt, Chris Hagenbuch, Danny Hagenbuch and Jon (Amanda) Hagenbuch. She loved her co-workers and her church family.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Hagenbuch Jr., and her four-legged child, Jake and many others.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 in St. Mary Catholic Church, 231 Washington Ave., Urbana.
