Pamela Lynn Criffield, beloved daughter and sister, died on October 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of family and friends. She was born in Urbana on November 3, 1953, to the late Donna Louise Corn Criffield and the late Kenneth G. Criffield.
Pam brought joy and love to those around her. She was sassy and bold, strong-willed and brave. She possessed determination, a fighting spirit, and an astute insight about trustworthy people. Pam ate her favorite foods with gusto, delighting in fried chicken, pizza, coffee, and spaghetti. She enjoyed country and western tunes, and reveled in a concluding crescendo of a classical piece.
Surviving family include her sisters, Sharon Evans and Carole Combs; her brother, Kenneth Criffield and sister-in-law, Rev. Dr. Cathy Cook; her brother-in-law, Gene Harper; and her nieces and nephews. Preceding Pam in death, in addition to her parents, are her sisters, Glenda Harper and Sandra Adams; her brother-in-law, Jacie Combs; and her friend, Nathaniel Hardin.
The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude to the staff at Paul Loffing Rainbow Unit in Urbana for their outstanding care and compassion.
Pam’s life will be celebrated privately by her family. In lieu of flowers, please remember Pam with a donation to your local Hospice or favorite nonprofit organization.
