Phil was the Controller at Barnhart Oil Company for many years. In 1976, he moved away from Urbana to become Vice President and General Manager of the Circleville Oil Company. Phil was a long-time member of the Grace Baptist Church where, for many years, he was the Music Director. and Treasurer. He loved to sing and had a wonderful voice. He was quite a character with his corney jokes. His laughter could fill the room.
