Ralph H. Fifer

Ralph H. Fifer age 83 of Urbana, formerly of Holgate, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1940 to the late George and Mary (Kohl) Fifer in Toledo, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Sue and his siblings: James, George, and Mary Ann. 

He leaves behind his loving wife, Delorus "Dee" (Adams) Fifer; sister, Theresa Fifer; children: C. Joseph (Lynette) Fifer, Laura (Nathan) Baxter, Robert (Nicole) Fifer and Sara (Richard) Kiehn; grandchildren: Andrew Fifer, Douglas Alf, Nathalie Nation, Robert Kiehn, Anna Kiehn, Samantha Eickhoff, Brittany Fifer, Jocelyn Juliano, Jacob Kiehn, Zachary Kiehn and Emily Kiehn; great-grandchildren: Scarlet, Orion, Walter, Arthur, Aiden, Everett, Charlotte, Grace, Brantley, Mason, and Skyler as well as friend and mentee’, Israel Resendez. 

Ralph was a graduate of Waite High School, class of 1959. He married his beloved Dee on November 24, 1960. He was the Meat Department Supervisor for Seaway Foodtown of Maumee, Ohio; Owner & Operator of: County Line Dry Cleaners & Laundry in Swanton, Ohio, County Pride Foods in Holgate, Ohio, and Perez Tortillas in McClure, Ohio. He also was a licensed realtor in Lucas, Fulton, and Henry Counties. Ralph was a member of the Exchange Club of Toledo, Ohio and honorary member of the Exchange Club of Springfield, Ohio. He was involved in the Lyons Club of Holgate, Ohio; Rotary Club International in Swanton, Ohio and was a City Councilman of Swanton, Ohio. He also was a member of the Elks (BPOE) and Boy Scouts of America. 

Ralph had many hobbies and interests to fill his time including being a small game hunter, a Lake Erie boater & fisherman, enjoyed bird watching and recreational vehicle enthusiast. You could always count on him to be watching the Ohio State University football games, which he rarely ever missed. He enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling with his family and friends and listening to bluegrass music. 

 A visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Pastor Dan Leiker will officiate his celebration of life service. 

Ralph will be laid to rest at St. Richard Catholic Cemetery on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. The family encourages memorial contributions be made to your favorite charity in Ralph's honor. Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.walterfunerals.com
