Robert L. Johnson

Robert “Bob” Johnson, 67, of Urbana, slipped into eternity on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 in Springfield Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 26, 1949 in Madison County, IN, a son of Everett and Ethel (Pflueger) Johnson. Bob worked as a journeyman pipefitter, retired from GM and was employed by True Inspection Services. He was a longtime member of Urbana Christian Fellowship. Bob served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran.
Bob was a life-long music enthusiast, a movie fanatic (especially of James Bond films), loved sports and animals, with special admiration of birds. He had a unique sense of humor and was loyal and dedicated to both his work and family.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer (Seal) Johnson; children, Amanda (Jeff) Zody, Joanna (Tyson) Closter, Danica (Norman) Chan, Danny Johnson and Natalie Johnson; grandchildren, Jeneca, Gunnar, Gabriel, Otis, Calvin and Willow; sisters, Anne (Paul) Davis and Roberta Ault; brother, William (Lana) Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Smith; and brother, John Harmon Miller.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 5 p.m. with Pastor Barry Couts officiating. Burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, IN.
