Sheila Mary Pauly

Shelia Mary Pauly, age 84, of Urbana, passed away, Monday, May 4, 2026. She was born May 12, 1941, in Urbana, Ohio, a daughter of Francis Harmon and Adele Julia (Gude) Ryan.

Sheila dedicated her life to her faith and her family. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Urbana, serving on the Ladies Sodality and a member of the church choir.

She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School and Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio earning her bachelor’s degree in chemistry. On August 12, 1967, she married the love of her life, William A. “Bill” Pauly who preceded her in death.

She is survived by her two children, Kevin Michael Pauly of Springfield, OH and Eric C. Pauly (Stephanie Shaw) of Dayton, OH; a sister, Adele Borns (Ryan); brother-in-law, Roy Manning and a nephew, Alex Borns.

Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Bill and her parents, Francis Harmon and Adele Julia Ryan.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 4:00-6:00PM in the Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday May 8, 2026, at 11:00AM at St. Mary Church, 228 Washington Ave., Urbana, OH followed by burial in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, OH.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Sheila’s memory to St. Mary Church.
