Verlie D. Walters, 83, of Urbana, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana.
She was born on March 5, 1934 in Lawrence County, KY, a daughter of Jesse and Elizabeth (Dawson) Vanhoose.
Survivors include daughters, Kelly (Jack) Pitts, Shelley Walters, Elaine (Paul) Howard of KY and Cheryl (Randy) Ratliff of KY; a son, Jerry Walters of Springfield; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Walters; and numerous brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017 in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
