William T. LeFever

William “Bill” Thomas LeFever, 81, of Urbana, lost his short battle with cancer May 2, 2025, at the Ohio State James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, OH. He was born April 21, 1944, in Urbana, a son of Merrill and Gladys (Hiltibran) LeFever.

On July 23, 1983, he married the love of his life Deborah (Tomblin) LeFever. They were married for 45 years and were each other’s best friends. When you saw one you saw the other. He was the best husband and friend a girl could ever want. Bill always looked forward to hanging out with his grandkids. He thought the world of them. They are really going to miss that special time that they had with him.

He was a graduate of Urbana High School, retired from Navistar International with 34 years of service and was a member of the Urbana Loyal Order of Moose #1215. He also enjoyed spending time in Florida, watching The Ohio State University football games, basketball games and March Madness.

He is survived by his wife Deborah (Tomblin) LeFever; his daughter, Rebecca (Erick) Holton of St. Paris, OH; grandsons, Kyle (Danielle) Hunts of St. Paris, OH and Wesley (Katie)Carroll of Great Falls, MT; granddaughter, Mirah Holton; great grandchildren, Payton, Cheyanne and Waylan Hunt; siblings, Sue (Junior) Eaton, Nancy (Robert, dec’d) Erwin, Ruth (Gene, dec’d) Weese, Janice (Dave) Cook, and Clara (Bill Moore) LeFever.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents as well as his siblings, Norma LeFever, Ralph LeFever and Marie A. LeFever.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 23, 2025, at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana, OH 43078 with Visitation at 10:00AM until the time of Service.
